sorry folks will try and post a coherent example, had to delete the last as it went all wrong!
love technology honest! I have been plagued by problems from the technical, to the day to day living.
Rest assured I do have something coming your way! I have started another category, so keep your peepers open for it, as all that I test and think of will be in there! So far I have something very interesting for you however life is dictating I am not getting to post yet.
I'm trying to do a play from the box (airfix/revell) WW2 with some modified Featherstone rules. The ideas are interesting enough and should be very payable, however the miniatures are taking forever! So stay tuned! So 1 month along and I've been jotting down some interesting concepts, there were two main ideas I wanted to try, the aim is on quick solo material. Time is not an issue, as well, if I'm painting miniatures it may take a while, oh yes I said miniatures! So the main aim is to still play straight away, on a very low budget, fast play games. The second aim is to create something visual but fast easy concepts to entertain the kids.(also rules, reading and arithmetic will not hurt!). I'm hoping to be showing you some games at some point, with a kind of walk through. The rules I will post, please feel free to have a go at and use, above all have fun! Dem As always real life comes first and I must have my attention on home and hearth! I will try and be back like the Phoenix! I have ideas and projects all written down so hopefully I will post now and again some wargaming gold for you. But for now thank you for following folks and happy gaming! Didz. Been invited to do something very interesting, it's an update on a set of fantasy rules, Hordes of things. It's a lot of fun and has a multitudes of uses from Doctor who skirmishes through to Victoriana Steam punk. If you would like to join in please send an email to : The web site: htt://www.bozbat.com/multitudes-of-monsters-magicians/ Good question ! I have been having a lot of fun with home brewed rules and discovering what rules paved the way for the mordern war game. There are lots of these fore fathers of tabletop wargaming out there for people to try, Phil Barker, Chris Peers , Bodley -Scott, Donald F. Featherstone, Iain Dickie, C.S.Grant, I know there a possibly some I have missed out, but it's great to have a go at these as you never know what it would lead to; Would I have written my rules with out experiencing DBA/DBM? No Would I have had such a fabulous game if it was not for Featherstone/Barker? No So I'm sat here pretty happy with what I've created so far, I'm having a lot of fun with ECW Kents Revolts. Now I've got so far, it was time to have a look at the rough notes I made for By Wheel or Bloody spear, as I was flicking through my little pile of work, I found this lent to me by the father in law. Within this green tome, it has, lo and behold ! I must give this a go! Looks like a lot of fun, as old Featherstone gives some basic rules, quite quirky. So may have to see how they work on a bit of Ancients. 1648 2nd Civil War, Kent Revolt, focusing on actions Dover, Deal, Walmer, Sandown and Sandwich.8/9/2014 Parliamentary forces sent : Commander Colonel Nathaniel Rich 2,000 Infantry and Troop of Cavalry(30-60?) Terrain notes: marshland with gentle sand hills. 14 August. 100 officers, 300 mariners and 500 soldiers lead by Gibson and Boys march for the Upper Deals trenches of Rich (which were not ment to be great trenches, as hard to maintain due to wet, cold summer); parliamentarians Hewson and Husbands (300 musket and 100 horse lead them away and to drew them out of the marsh land and repulse them.
