Set up and initiative.
As you can see in the pictures below, I have created little home made rules for ranges and movements, I've gone for a basic pitched battle affair where Lord Walters 'reds' have intercepted Duke Tassels 'whites', nasty bleeders, pillaging and wrecking civilised folk of the 'Piela'.
From the picture the home made rule is the Gun range stick, which gives the spacing for pitched battle, as you see both command has rolled initiatives, highest going first or second.
In case of a draw re roll initiative. Of course this would depend on a player wishing to spend initiative on SM removal.
Duke Tassel seizes the initiative to go first!
Movement.
The Duke advances his whole line forward fearing nothing.
Notice he keeps pace with the foot.
Gun fire.
Lord Walters observes and gives the command, his mighty artillery thunder, putting the enemy under early pressure, and scoring the first stress marker. (Only the side with initiative rolls Artillery)
Resolve shooters.
The Lord sends his commands down the line and advances his brave men to show them dastardly enemies what's what! He orders his horse to Sally forth and collides with enemy Calvary !
The sheer mass of fire sees the Dragoons sharp shooting skills hit home. (Only the side with initiative rolls shooters)
Resolving Melee.
The charge of Lord Walters hits home as the Duke prepares his men to counter charge, caught on the hop, Tassel's horse are a bit confounded! (Both sides roll for melee)
Resolving moral.
As only The Dukes men have SM (stress markers), they must test, however usually, the player with initiative would test last. Tassel seems to have lost a few muskets as they fail there check <=7 with class and route!
