Thought I would have a bit of fun with DBA today, a very simple fast play game, created by Mr Barker and Mrs Barker mainly.
It's been a staple favourite of mine for quite a few years now since 2009.
I thought I would show how versatile it is, with all the stratagy you could want and more.
Game turns are played in bounds. With the most aggressive army taking the turn, spending points called pips for movements and a fast play results for all combat variants.
I wanted to see how far I could push these rules so came up with the following scenario.
I've called it Baron Racminov's last stand.
I made myself a simple map with the following lay out, the focus a Hamlet called Kuopak.
The forces involved:
Baron Racminov's Militia
1 x Racminov knights C-C
2 x Halberdiers (Aux)
2 x Musketeers (Ps)
1 x Pistoliers (LH)
Poco Koco Yokosuka Manglers
1 x Poco Koco Yokosuka (Wb) C-C
1 x Beast Riders (LH)
1 x Crazy Slashers (Sythe Ch)
9 x Bloodthirsty Yokosukas (Wb)
Backdrop:
Poco Koko Yokosuka and his hordes have ravaged down to the mainland and fallen on the small Hamlet.
Can Racminov fend them off or at least stall them enough for the main City of Cathark to cope ?
Special considerations:
Racminov has not got the best troops in the world, so have decided to give the Aux support from the Ps.
Poco's stuff is just brute force so I have them an impetuous moves and so hopefully give the out numbered a chance to respond with tactical moves. I gave them rear support verses foot so as to give them more of a push.
